Komui was in a hopeless depression buried in his work. This wasn't unlike Komui to find himself behind a wall of papers and things to get caught up with. It was a vicious cycle he had to deal with every so often. Why he didn't see it before and fix his ways was unknown to anyone, and so the procrastination continued. He was never completely alone though. Reever, on several occasions, would stay to assist Komui in his work and help him stay sane through it all. This night was no different. Reever had stayed after everyone had retired to help Komui, and he started by bringing him some coffee.
"Komui? Komui? Hey chief...answer. Hello?" Reever looked around, but he couldn't seem to get the attention of Komui, wherever he was. He figured Komui must be asleep under his papers so he had to think of something that would wake him up, and he knew just what to do to get his attention.
"Oh Komui...Lenalee brought you some coffee..." He waited a moment for a response. Sure enough Komui sat up kocking papers left and right with his response.
"Oh! How sweet of my darling sister to have brought me coff..." He looked around. "Where's Lenalee?"
"Sorry chief, it's just me who brought the coffee, but you were sleeping pretty heavily."
"Ahh Reever, My sister is really something isn't she?" He took the coffee and drank some before cupping both hands around the bunny mug.
"She's not far off from her older brother." Reever took his coffee and focused on Komui.
"Oh Reever, you're too kind to think so highly of my influence on Lenalee. I am something special aren't I?"
Reever sighed heavily before putting his coffee down somewhere that wasn't covered with papers. Komui was something else entirely, but working with him and getting to know him through the years had made him learn a lot about him. He probably single handedly knew the most about Komui, that is beside his sister, but who knows, maybe he knew even more than Lenalee herself.
"Something special alright..." Reever walked around the desk, not on the same side as Komui and pushed him backwards out of his chair and onto the floor with himself leaning over. Reever leaned down and despite Komui's look of confusion he gave him a light passionate kiss on the lips.
"Get some sleep Komui...I'll finish the work." He stood up looking down at Komui lending him a hand.
"uhh...alright Reever..." Komui was completely caught off guard, but he took Reever's hand and fixed himself in the chair taking his coffee in hand.
Reever wasted no time getting back to work, because he would have a lot of it that needed finishing. He carried on as though nothing had happened and yet, Komui was still completely confused and dumbfounded by the whole ordeal. He looked down at the coffee Reever had brought him and smiled.
"Thank you Reever..."
